A documentary about pioneering musician, Sly Stone. In 2002, director/musician Willem Alkema began to look for Sly Stone. Two years later he found Stone living in a house on a dead end street on a hill just outside Los Angeles. Stone didn't want to be filmed, but the director didn't give up and eventually followed the musician as he took his first steps on stage since the '70s.

The Warrior Dragon, the Lotus Dragon, the Dragon of Glory and the glow-in-the-dark Dragon For The Stars will be performed by the Jhuo Lan High School Dragon Dance Team from Miaoli County in Taiwan, making their debut performance in Toronto.

Nagata Shachu & The Toronto Tabla Ensemble

The powerful and evocative rhythms of Japan and India converge in this highly anticipated collaboration between two pillars of the Toronto world music scene. The Juno nominated Toronto Tabla Ensemble, founded in 1991 by Artistic Director and Tabla Master, Ritesh Das, has toured Canada six times, as well as Australia and India. They will join Nagata Shachu in an evening of thrilling rhythms and joyous percussion.
