Literary Arts at Harbourfront Centre

Harbourfront Centre’s Literary Arts department, Authors at Harbourfront Centre (AUTHORS), is one of the oldest programming divisions in the organization, tracing its first readings back to June 1974. Programming runs from September to June and includes the annual International Festival of Authors (IFOA) (October), including YoungIFOA and IFOA Ontario; and the annual ALOUD: a Celebration for Young Readers with Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ (May).

Authors at Harbourfront Centre also works with World Stage, Courses and Workshops, School Visits, World Routes summer weekend festivals, HarbourKIDS family programmes, and York Quay Centre visual art exhibitions to present international and Canadian authors across Harbourfront Centre programming.
