Compagnie Käfig stepped on the Fleck Dance Theatre floor last night and faced an eager audience, hungry (or should I say, thirsty) for Agwa. When the performance had come to an end, the audience was left beyond fulfilled by the amazing, athletic, intricate and mind blowing display that had been orchestrated by world renowned choreographer, Mourad Merzouki.
Demonstrating a stupefying amalgamation of hip hop and contemporary dance, the Brazillian and French men of Compagnie Käfig rhythmically flowed across the floor, sometimes on their feet and often on their heads with a precision that is seen in very few performances.
Many of those in attendance took to twitter to express their astonishment:

The show is only available until the 5th of this month, and then Mourad and Compagnie Käfig are off to new horizons, so make sure to catch Agwa/Carreria as part of the 2012 world stage season while you can!
