Chef Tim Teng, the King of Stewing, will be sharing the secrets of the Taiwanese staple this weekend at TAIWANfest. Teng grew up in British Columbia, went to school in Michigan and started his culinary career in his native Taiwan. This fusion of backgrounds has influenced his cooking and has led to him being one of the top young chefs from Taiwan. In this interview he talks about an aspirational trip to Las Vegas, stew’s place in Taiwanese culture, and what he has planned for Harbourfront this weekend.
