DEEP WOODS: Visual Arts Winter Exhibitions Winter/Spring 2015
On Friday evening, join us for the opening reception of our new Visual Arts Exhibitions. Over 30 artists, designers and architects go beyond the Group of Seven and look to the woods to negotiate how the great Canadian landscape continues to inspire art in a contemporary context. January 23, 6-10pm. The Power Plant: Winter 2015 Opening Party
Afterward, party hop your way over to fete for The Power Plant’s new exhibition, The Unfinished Conversation: Encoding/Decoding, a group show featuring the work of six artists. Terry Adkins, John Akomfrah, Sven Augustijnen, Steve McQueen, Shelagh Keeley, and Zineb Sedira are artists who bring into play, time, memory and archive in an effort to offer new readings of the past. On Saturday, The Power Plant will also host a one-day symposium where attendees can engage with featured artists, the curators and guest scholars. January 23, 6-10pm. FREE

Rest up, because Saturday night we’re hosting the biggest bash of the weekend, The #artlive Ball. Bigger venue. Bigger beats. Bigger ball.
