Harbourfront Centre has been your hub for cultural engagement and activity this summer and it’s only going to get better from here. Our mission was and continues to be providing Torontonians with all the fun at one of the best locations in Toronto. With our special Lakeside Late Nights on Saturdays, we encompass a wide range of intriguing events to liven up your weekends.
So far, we’ve already had a blast shaking up the dance floor with DJ soundtracks at The Block and Beyond. It was a night of music and dance that is sure to be remembered. Let’s not forget the unforgettable back alley from Rio de Janerio at Blocoo Late Night with Uma Nota Culture. The tropical sounds from Mexico and Brazil wisped us away for a fantastic night in the Brigantine Room.
Lakeside Late Nights has only touched the tip of the iceberg. Harbourfront Centre has lots more to present. Expect great things from a variety of disciplines including music, dance, voice and so much more.
August 1 features DJ African Star feat. MC Kabaka Pyramid. Join us and special guest African Star as he takes us on a tour through the history of Jamaican music. He will be accompanied by the rising Jamaican superstar Kabaka Pyramid. Take this opportunity to have an exceptional time while becoming well versed in the Jamaican music scene.
On August 8, Lakeside Late Nights also presents Hoop Hop, a sub programme of ‘Music Yet to Come’, presented by RBC Royal Bank. Hoop Hop – featuring Tall Paul, City Natives and Frank Wain – will introduce you to the diverse world of Indigenous civilizations and their connection to the world of hip hop. A meshing of intricate culture and music results in the making of a night you won’t want to miss.
Lakeside Late Nights have been lively thus far and there are no plans to slow down just yet. So get on the move and check out what Harbourfront Centre has to offer this summer with Lakeside Late Nights. You’ll never be left with a dull moment. July 4 – September 5, $10 cover charge.
