Harbourfront Centre is excited to celebrate our amazing country this Canada Day. We’re known for being a country that celebrates our differences with a rich and multi-faceted cultural mosaic, which is reflected in our line-up filled with concerts, activities and other exciting events that will remind you why being Canadian is awesome.
Our musical acts are the highlight of the weekend and showcase the uniqueness of Canadian music. One of those groups is Sharon & Bram, a duo that performs children’s folk music that has delighted audiences of all ages for decades. We also have Abdominal & The Obliques performing, an established Toronto emcee with his brand of self-described “middle-aged hip-hop” and backing band. Multilingual hip-hop super group Nomadic Massive is taking over the Concert Stage at the end of the evening, followed by a fantastic fireworks display set to an all Canadian soundtrack which will be broadcast live by CIUT.
If you like what you hear on Canada Day, join us the rest of the weekend for our Oh Canada celebration! We’re extending the Canada Day festivities into the weekend showcasing more home-grown musical acts. Performers include soul-pop singer Chloe Charles, legendary alt-country band Cowboy Junkies, and the Okavango African Orchestra. There are also activities for the entire family all weekend long!
And the best part of these events is that they’re all FREE! So head down to Harbourfront Centre and experience what makes our country great this Canada Day.
