Call to Artists – HarbourKIDS: North

Harbourfront Centre is currently seeking proposals for new works and/or finished works for our upcoming HarbourKIDS: North festival. This one day event will take place on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 11am to 5pm at our various venues on-site.

The focus for HarbourKIDS: North is to celebrate the northern winter landscape, its ever changing terrain and the wildlife that calls the tundra home.

We are looking for works that play with the intersection of nature, science and contemporary art whether it is performance, visual art, or interactive exchanges designed for kids ages 3-12. Our mandate of developing direct exchanges between working artists and children should be considered as well as being available on-site during the festival.

Proposals will be considered for the following venues:
Brigantine Room
Studio Theatre
Marilyn Brewer Community Space
Lakeside Terrace
Natrel Rink (Outside)
Lawn (Outside)

Proposal requirements include:

  • One page proposal of new work or description of finished work
  • CV or Bios
  • Project budget
  • Technical and staffing needs
  • Contact information including website or video links

Submission deadline is Friday, September 16, 2016 and can be sent by post or email to:
