ArtHaus: Launching our 2017 season in style

It was three cheers for Harbourfront Centre last week as guests joined board members and staff for a captivating evening at the inaugural ArtHaus fundraising gala.

Taking place at Toronto’s prestigious Shangri-La Hotel, ArtHaus offered guests a sneak peek of what they could expect in our upcoming 2017 season, Sounds of Home.

Dressed in their best creative attire, guests were treated to hands-on artistic installations and live entertainment performed by new and returning Harbourfront Centre artists.

From bedtime stories and an in-person looming demonstration to tap dancing and fortune telling – foretold by some seriously creative children – Harbourfront Centre showcased the breadth of creativity in the contemporary arts scene and our commitment to sharing it with our audiences.

Over dinner, our guests were entranced by a portrait slideshow of dozens of famous artists who have graced Harbourfront Centre’s stages over the past 40 years, including Celine Dion, Robert Lepage, Jim Carrey, Feist, Cirque du Soleil, Christian Marclay, Ian McEwan and more.

A huge thank you to ArtHaus Gala chair Jeronimo De Miguel and his committee for creating such a special evening for us all.
