Program Description

Students will explore what makes contemporary dance unique and relevant. Through improvisation and choreographic exercises, students will expand their understanding of the elements of dance to create a collaborative composition. 

Program Objectives

By the end of the Dance: Contemporary Dance program, students will:

  • Gain an understanding of contemporary dance through the elements of dance.
  • Engage in improvisation exercises as a starting point for choreography.
  • Collaborate with peers to create a short contemporary dance composition.
