John Waters Movie Marathon: A Dirty Shame

After nearly three decades of making movies that comment on our carnal nature, John Waters finally found time to address Eros outright. Considering the cast he managed to round up – Tracey Ullman, Johnny Knoxville, Selma Blair – he was definitely mining for gratuitous gold. The film is a decent look at the subconscious of society, with a subtext that suggests anyone can be a degenerate – given the right blow to the back of the head.
