This summer the Centre Shop has brought in a solid line of Mariclaro bags: Laptop, courier, and briefcase.

Because they are cool. Also because they are so well made.  This local design company from the Roncy area of Toronto, makes a bag that whether you are trekking through urban jungles or doing a pub crawl in Iceland or need a tough bag to make sense of your daily haul, a Mariclaro fits the bill. These bags are sturdy, individually designed and sown, and made exclusively from recycled automobile material, including seat upholstery, seat belts, even the buckles, all expertly and beautiful utilized.

A local company to watch, Mariclaro has already been garnering attention and received the 2011 National Globe Award, the Honorary Small Business Award for the Best Green Consumer Product.

This type of sustainability is so encouraged at the Centre Shop; it’s part of our mandate.
