About instructor Marianne Jetté

Marianne Jetté is a costume and fashion designer as well as a makeup artist. She has been working as a costume designer since the age of 16 and is always on the lookout for new inspiration and opportunities. She also has a background as a sewing and fashion instructor for children and teenagers and is proud to be able to pass on her knowledge and experience.

Fashion & Design: Intro to Sewing

Learning

Handmade garments are in and even the best DIY tutorials require a bit of sewing know-how! In this introductory course, learn the basics of hand and machine sewing, commercial patterns, and how to choose the best fabric for your project. Create a bag as you learn the basics and move on to a piece of clothing as you learn new skills or improve upon existing ones.
