In this one-day workshop students will learn various direct methods of primitive casting. We will cover cuttlefish bone and charcoal block casting - which involve carving a design into the material and pouring molten silver into the void, along with combustible material free form casting (broom casting, salt casting, etc.). Using several basic jewellery techniques, students will turn the cast pieces into finished pendants.
Course open to adults 18+. No experience necessary. Some materials included with registration fee. Please register for this workshop at least 3 days in advance of the start date so that we can order materials for you.
