Marie-Eve G. Castonguay is an emerging jewellery artist from Quebec City. Whether her pieces are wearable or not, they always engage with the body’s movements. Inspired by questions of identity and belonging, both as an artist and as an individual, she creates intimate objects that provoke self-reflection and introspection. After receiving a Diploma at the École de Joaillerie de Québec (2011), she earned a BFA from NSCAD University, Halifax, where she majored in Jewellery Design & Metalsmithing (2013). Her work was exhibited both in Canada and in France. She was accepted into Harbourfront Centre’s Artist-In-Residence programme and awarded a scholarship in 2014.
