Sylvie Lissa Alusitz is a metalsmith and jeweller who explores the relationships we have to people and place. Influenced by the basketry and textile communities, she translates processes into metal to create objects that become physical representations of memories and imagination.
She received her MFA from SUNY New Paltz in 2019 and a BFA in Jewelry and Metals from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2015. Sylvie has exhibited in the United States and internationally, including Autor Contemporary Jewelry Fair in Bucharest, Romania; Greater Denton Arts Council in Denton, TX; and My-day By-day Gallery in Rome, Italy.
Sylvie was accepted as an Artist-in-Residence (Metal) at Harbourfront Centre in 2019.
