We take seriously our responsibility to the community and the public at large – protecting Toronto's downtown waterfront acreage for the betterment and enjoyment of all. We strive to continually improve the public realm under our stewardship and to ensure that our ten central acres are valued as a legacy held in trust for the public in perpetuity. We garner resources from the public and private sectors to guarantee that this key portion of Toronto's lakefront is beautified and enlivened year round for everyone's enjoyment.
We protect our public realm through:
- Operating our land and buildings as a public trust under a non-profit mandate.
- Ensuring an open and accessible site for all to enjoy by maintaining a policy of no site admission fees and 70% of public programming free to the public.
- Undertaking ongoing investment in public infrastructure and improvement through both public and private resources.
- Securing and animating the 10 acre site on a year round, 24 hour a day basis, to ensure a safe and hospitable public environment.
