Originally from South Africa, Cameron is a Vancouver-based director, producer and drag queen. He produces and curates Club PuSh for the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival and is Founder and Managing Artistic Director of Zee Zee Theatre currently celebrating their eleventh season.

Other directing credits include: Antony & Cleopatra (Studio 58), Angels in America Part 1 & 2, (Assistant, Arts Club), Pauline (Assistant, City Opera Vancouver), Hamlet (Assistant, Bard on the Beach), In Absentia (Assistant, Centaur Theatre), La Cage aux Folles (Associate, Vancouver Playhouse).
A recipient of the Ray Michal Award for Outstanding Body of Work by an Emerging Director for the 2014/2015 season, he is also Jessie-nominated for his direction of Lowest Common Denominator.
He is a graduate of Studio 58 and has further trained with Pochinko clown master, John Turner. His drag alter ego Isolde N. Barron along with husband/wife/drag-daughter Peach Cobblah aka Dave Deveau continue to tour their kids show Parents Are A Drag, as well as their drag history show Tucked & Plucked: Drag Herstory Live Onstage.
Dave Deveau is an award-winning playwright who investigates queer themes that speak to a broad audience. His work has been produced across North America and in Europe.
He is the Playwright in Residence for Vancouver’s Zee Zee Theatre who produced his plays Nelly Boy, Tiny Replicas, the critically-acclaimed My Funny Valentine (Sydney Risk Prize, Jessie Nomination, Oscar Wilde Nomination – Dublin), Lowest Common Denominator, Elbow Room Café: The Musical (with Anton Lipovetsky), Dead People’s Things and Holiday at the Elbow Room Café. He is hugely devoted to developing intelligent, theatrical plays for young people that foster conversation. His plays for young audiences include Out in the Open, tagged (Dora nomination) and Celestial Being (Jessie Nomination) for Green Thumb Theatre and Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls (Dora nomination) for Roseneath Theatre. He is currently working on commissions for Zee Zee Theatre, The Belfry, Arts Club, The Cultch, Carousel Theatre for Young People and Nashville Children’s Theatre.
In total, his plays have been nominated for 21 Jessie Awards, 4 Ovation Awards and 4 Dora Awards. He is represented by Marquis Literary. You can find his plays in Scirocco’s Fierce anthology, and in his own collection CISSY: Three Gender Plays, published by Talonbooks. In addition to his work as a playwright Dave is a force in Vancouver’s queer community as an organizer and drag queen known as Peach Cobblah.
Dexter made his drag debut as Fertility Flambé at the 2019 Vancouver International Children’s Festival and looks forward to smiling and clapping his way through this remount of Parents Are A Drag. He loves sharing the stage with his dads / drag moms, though will likely pull focus.
