And if you're looking to stay in town during IFOA, scroll down for a special offer from our partner the Westin Harbour Castle.

For those of you that have been waiting with bated breath for the PEN Canada Benefit participant to be announced, no need to wait any longer... Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Richard Ford – author of the Bascombe trilogy: Independence Day, The Sportswriter, and The Lay of the Land – will make a rare appearance in Canada at IFOA (Oct. 20) in support of freedom of expression. For more info click here.

If you can't wait until IFOA, we have a couple of events up our sleeves to keep you busy this month: Bestseller and award-winner Stuart McLean (Oct. 6), and a screening of the Ron Mann film In the Wake of the Flood (Oct. 13) – based on Margaret Atwood's most recent book tour – co-presented with Planet in Focus.

P.S. There's even a chance to win tickets to one of Nightwood Theatre's upcoming productions of The List below.
