David Sedaris, stories from Iran, and inspiration for the next generation of authors
IRAH may be on hiatus for the summer, but there are some literary highlights we'd still like to share with you in July.

David Sedaris, When You Are Engulfed in Flames
Presented in partnership with Ben McNally Books and H.B. Fenn & Company
David Sedaris is the #1 bestselling author of Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Naked, Holidays on Ice and Barrel Fever. "David Sedaris's ability to transform the mortification of everyday life into wildly entertaining art," (Christian Science Monitor) is elevated to wilder and more entertaining heights than ever in this remarkable new book. When You Are Engulfed in Flames is Sedaris's sixth essay collection.
Sedaris signs copies of When You Are Engulfed in Flames at Ben McNally Books, 366 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario.

Did you know we programme Junior Author Camps too ... ?
Junior Author Camps
June 30 – July 25 (2 sessions)
Launched by IRAH in 2006 and run as part of Harbourfront Centre's Summer Camps programme, Junior Author Camps set out to demystify the writer's craft. Experienced camps staff and local authors help aspiring writers aged 10–15 explore the world of literature, develop their ideas, and unlock their imaginations. In addition to typical summer camp fare, kids take part in creative writing workshops, work directly with authors, step out on local publishing field trips, and even take home some publisher-donated swag!
Authors sharing their secrets this year include: Jay MillAr, Alison Pick and Nathan Whitlock.
Session One is sold out, but a few spaces are available in Session Two. Visit harbourfrontcentre.com to find out more about this and other Harbourfront Centre Summer Camps.
