This solo dance event is performed by Belinda McGuire and features two world premieres. Waltz, by Sylvain Émard (Montreal), is made in collaboration with composer Martin Tétreault, lighting designer André Rioux, and costume designer François St-Aubin, and Mcguire’s own Slaughterhouse/Requiem features costume and set design by McGuire herself, lighting design by Solomon Weisbard and projection design by Michael Bergmann.
Established in 2007, Belinda McGuire Dance Projects (BMDP) supports the research, development, production, and presentation of international and collaborative multidisciplinary dance performance as a means to stimulate the conscientious capacity of wide-ranging publics through exposure to creative experimentation and artistic excellence.
