A New Tradition
Ruben Esguerra’s project A New Tradition has grown over the years. Afro-Colombian traditional rhythms mixed with hip-hop, spoken word and jazz/funk, A New Tradition represents the new roots established by young Latin American artists living in Toronto. Now working on his second album and performing with a 13 piece orchestra, A New Tradition has recently performed with Vox Sambu at the Lulaworld festival and as a headliner for the Essencia festival at Yonge and Dundas Square.
