In our clay mask programme, students are given the chance to explore hand building techniques and discover the creative possibilities of clay. The far-reaching traditions of mask-making across a variety of cultures provide inspiration for students to make their own unique mask.
By the end of any clay programme, students will:
- Use appropriate terminology related to ceramic arts
- Assess historic and current examples of the chosen project
- Demonstrate an ability to construct a clay beast, mask, portrait or vessel using hand building techniques
