Print making allows students to create multiple works of art in just one workshop. Discover the magic revealed through the printing process.

Students examine printed artwork by celebrated artists from around the world. They will discover texture through the art of collograph. Best of all, they design, create and print a series of beautiful collograph prints.

Key Inquiry Question: To what extent did your examination of historic works of art influence your collograph print?

Programme Objectives

By the end of the programme, students will:

  • Discover the history of printmaking through the examination of works by prominent artists
  • Explore shape, texture, pattern and positive and negative space in printmaking
  • Produce several coloured relief prints using a collograph printing plate
