Your students experience life inside Toronto’s City Halls and Ontario’s Provincial Justice System discussing the three levels of government. They also have an opportunity to meet and pose questions to a judge, and discover the historical roots of these institutions on a fascinating walk through downtown Toronto. Students discuss reasons for democratic decision-making and the responsibilities of informed citizens.
Programme Objectives
By the end of the programme, students will:
- Describe the different levels and functions of the Canadian government
- Identify and describe the significance of a variety of buildings, locations and people to the Canadian government
- Demonstrate how the government impacts our daily lives
