Our newest Urban Studies programme starts off at City Hall where students will begin an “architecture crawl” discovering the unique history of buildings past and present. The afternoon will continue through the downtown core and will end with a lively discussion of the exhibit presented in Harbourfront Centre’s Architectural Gallery.
Programme Objectives
By the end of the programme, students will:
- Identify and recognize a variety of architectural styles
- Use vocabulary appropriately when discussing urban communities and architecture
- Describe how the built form and the physical landscape impact urban development over time
