Thank you for your interest in School Visits. The safety and well-being of our staff and visitors is our top priority. Harbourfront Centre will remain closed until further notice as we continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation regarding the COVID-19 virus and follow the advice and guidelines of Toronto Public Health. As a result, we are temporarily suspending bookings for onsite School Visits programs for the duration of the 2019/20 school year.

Harbourfront Centre will continue to accept in-school registrations at this time for schools with an M postal code (TDSB, TCDSB and private schools). Please note that these in-school bookings will only be delivered if the Government of Ontario reopens schools and school board policies permit external educators to enter school buildings. If you make an in-school booking that Harbourfront Centre must subsequently cancel due to an extended closure of schools, there will be no financial charges applied to the cancelled booking.

Wishing you all the best in these challenging times.

— The Harbourfront Centre School Visits Team

Harbourfront Centre School Visits is committed to creating an inclusive, accessible learning community that explores contemporary arts, culture and ideas; fostering joy, curiosity, personal growth and building connections to our city.

Core Programs

Our core programs run all year, and allow your students the opportunity to explore Visual Arts & Contemporary Craft, Performing Arts and Urban Studies. These full and half-day offerings are developed with the Ontario Curriculum in mind and are taught by our talented artist-educators. Included in all visits is a guided exploration of our Craft and Design Studio, where 26 Artists-in-Residence are creating daily.

Seasonal Programs

Our Seasonal Programs respond to our unique 10-acre central waterfront campus.

In December, January and February, bring your students down for our Make and Skate program. Spend half the day in our studio spaces and half the day on our Natrel Rink. Skate and helmet rentals are available for all student groups.

In May and June, join us for Waterfront Explorations, which highlights our campus and our city’s place on the waterfront offering a truly memorable end of year school trip.

In-school Programs

Unable to make it to Harbourfront Centre? Let our artist-educators come to you for an In-school Program. Programs are 90 minutes in length and are offered in dance, drama or music. This program is offered all year long.

Creative Edge

Take advantage of our unique multidisciplinary facility in our Creative Edge programs. These programs respond to our ever-changing gallery exhibitions, visiting dance and theatre productions, and partner with various cultural organizations across the city.

See your students engage, explore and respond in new ways with a Harbourfront Centre School Visits program!

We look forward to working with you and your students.
