Students examine a selection of contemporary and historic still life paintings to gain an understanding of how artists explore form, space, texture, colour and light. Through painting and drawing techniques, students will have the choice to create a realistic or abstract representation of the scene before them.
Your students will be inspired by historic and contemporary works of art, explore drawing and painting techniques, and gain a deeper understanding of the media.
Key Inquiry Question: How can abstraction and realism impact the style of your still life painting?
