Stuff! We all have our stuff and we need to carry it with us. Using textile art processes – weave, knot, sew, glue, tie – students will engineer a carrying device designed to hold their personal belongings.

How can experimentation with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) be combined with personal needs to create a carrying device?
By the end of the Carry-It program, students will:
- Be introduced to a variety of innovative carrying solutions created by a selection of contemporary artists
- Experiment with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) to design a functional carrying device that meets an identified need
- Use vocabulary appropriately as related to textile arts techniques
