Histoire d’amour is a journey through time exploring what it means and feels to be in love in different historical periods. Six choreographers – Susie Burpee, Louis-Martin Charest, Denise Fujiwara, Louis Laberge-Côté, Sylvie Bouchard and Julia Aplin – created the different vignettes that tell the stories of Histoire d’amour, exploring in their own way the expression and representation of love throughout the ages.
Presented by Toronto-based Francophone dance company BoucharDanse, this full-length work is performed by Sylvie Bouchard, Brendan Wyatt and Christian Laurin, directed by Marie-Josée Chartier, with video projections by Ayelen Liberona.
Histoire d’amour is presented as part of Harbourfront Centre’s NextSteps 2017/18 Season. For a full day experience, students can participate in a movement and voice workshop, then enjoy the performance.
