Happy 146th birthday Canada! During the course of our four-day festival, we will explore the themes of terrain, terroir and the power of place. Throughout the weekend, these themes will be identified within the various connections that resonate with the dancers, musicians, culinary chefs, performers, artists and their homelands.
Canada Day Celebrations will represent the diverse and rich communities of dance and music that exist across this beautiful country. Canada is known for its plains and mountains in the west, lowlands and fertile agricultural growth in the southeast, and vast mountain ranges, lakes and arctic tundra in the far north. The programming throughout the site will speak to our cultural landscape while engaging international and local artists to express their own stories of their land.
This Canada Day long weekend we aim to celebrate Canada from coast to coast and beyond while highlighting and capturing the diverse traditions that make our city what it is today.
