Toronto bred electro-hip hop, genre-mashing duo The Airplane Boys (Beck Motley and Bon Voyage) are an evolutionary breed of sound, pushing the barriers of modern music. As one of a small handful of Canadian acts (including Feist, The Weeknd, The Sheepdogs, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor) booked to perform at the legendary Coachella festival in 2012, after touring extensively with Snoop Dogg last fall, this duo is being touted as the next Canadian band to blow up worldwide. Their synth-infused mixtape Where’ve You Been (executive produced by The Weeknd’s Illangelo) garnered the young MCs a huge online fan base. Opening up for J.Cole’s Cole World Tour further turned the media’s attention on the dynamic duo who have released a series of buzzy, visually-appealing videos including "Ice Age," "Gold Ribbons," "Born to Be" and have also been featured in influential US-based Vibe Magazine and on hugely popular blogs like 2 Dope Boyz. The Airplane Boys represent a larger movement, The Beau Monde Collective, who is the governing body of the band. It’s a forward-thinking art collective who communicate in the language of multi-disciplinary arts, and includes Warren Credo, the brand director who anchors their video direction, Justin Create, who handles the art direction and photography, and KMS, the band’s in-house producer and DJ.
