About Chef Matt Pettit:

Matt Dean Pettit, the owner and chef of Rock Lobster Food Co., first acquired his love for cooking at the age of 13 when he got his first job as a kitchen prep in a restaurant in his home town of Midland, Ont. Matt’s inspiration for cooking comes from his mother.

Having travelled the world, Matt takes on a global approach of building flavours and approvable dishes. In early 2011, Matt started Rock Lobster Food Co., which is Canada’s first Lobster-centric food company. Rock Lobster Food Co. specializes in showcasing lobster and making it more accessible for Canadians to eat on a regular basis. Rock Lobster Food Co. now has a lobster shack in Toronto's Kensington Market, and a new food truck launching this summer.
