Rebekah Wolkstein and Drew Jurecka

Rebekah Wolkstein and Drew Jurecka have been performing as a duo together since 2001, when they were students at the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. They performed twice a week as strolling musicians at an Italian restaurant during this time. They became comfortable taking requests, improvising and playing all genres of music. Now, they play together in the Venuti String Quartet, which opens the 2018 Toronto Music Garden season, and Drew has produced both of Rebekah's recordings for her tango ensemble, Payadora. Now married, they have two young daughters, one of whom is already playing the violin.
