TAIWANfest - August 28-30

Taiwan, the tiny island where a world of food and culture meet

The Portuguese first introduced bread to Taiwan. The Dutch then brought buffalo and tomatoes. The Japanese built railroads and brought baseball. Koxinga, the Chinese military leader who defeated the Dutch, was born in Japan. This storied island has much to showcase as a place where cultures migrated and Indigenous cultures thrived and innovated. Explore some of the most remarkable generations of artists and ideas through TAIWANfest.
