Terrain conveys a sense of place, whether that place is physical, emotional or spiritual. It’s a word with multiple dimensions. It welcomes an exploration of layers and topographies, landscapes and climate. Terrain is about our place within the natural world, our histories and memories, our emotions and identities.

Sometimes, the simplest alignments are the most powerful. When placed in front of another word, "re" asks us to consider something again. It challenges our vantage points, makes us question the familiar and examine our assumptions. It asks us to look back to the places we’ve journeyed from. And that, for us, is one of the fundamental aims of artistic expression

What are crossroads? We think of them as junctures, points of transition, sites of supernatural power, markers, intersections and hallowed ground. Crossroads represent the pivotal moment we need to determine the direction in which we’re headed. And, for us, this decision is one of pure creative potential. It’s a starting point. A beginning. A choice. And where there is choice, there is artistic expression.

Like a shaft of light into a room, artists use perspective as a means to illuminate. Often, artists share their personal perspectives to bring a new twist to a familiar topic. Other times, artists share differing perspectives to illustrate conflict and resolution. In either instance, the end goal is for you to question how the world appears from your vantage point.
