Designed by Science & Sons, the brainchild of Tristan Zimmerman, based in Toronto and a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design. Drawing inspiration from bonsai, Park Planters elevate the common household plant to the status of full grown tree. The potted plant becomes the backdrop for an urban park scene. Ranging from dog walkers to flashers and muggers, no two scenes are alike, ensuring the autonomy of each piece.
Sorapot is a unique, modern teapot. Designed by Joey Roth of San Francisco, its architectural shape and simple functionality bring tea’s quiet beauty into sharp focus. Made from 304 stainless steel, borosilicate glass (Pyrex), and food-grade silicone, it articulates the ritual of tea making in a thoroughly modern way and becomes more beautiful with use.
In 2003, Nahui Ollin (pronounced now-we-oh-lean) was established to fill a need for “green” alternatives in fashion accessories, using recycled materials. Designer Olga Abadi, applying the ancient Mayan technique of binding, created the unique Candy Wrapper Handbag. Produced in Mexico, it takes up to four days and 4,000 defective candy wrappers, (rescued before going to landfills), to construct each one-of a-kind bag – no two bags are the same!
Recognizing the great icons of the century and their work, this collection of architecturally designed timepieces are inspired by the museums around the world that they created. Designed products that let you personally experience their 3-dimensional approach.
