Three mini-curated projects examine sites, events and ideas related to Harbourfront Centre’s surroundings: Garrison Creek, the 1949 fire aboard the SS Noronic cruise ship, and the myth of Gaasyendietha, the dragon that dwells in Lake Ontario.

An exhibition of work by Jewellery Studio artists-in-residence. The artist-in-residency programme celebrates and advocates diverse approaches to making. Conceptual concerns may differ but cohesion is achieved by virtue of these variances and the use of the body as site. Traditional and non-traditional materials are used, scale is challenged and ideas about a jeweller’s role in society are explored.

Visual Arts at York Quay Centre is made up of 10 exhibition spaces which are both traditional and unique. These venues are located within and outside York Quay Centre proper and range in size from an exhibition gallery that is 1400 feet square to individual vitrines which are 9 feet square.
York Quay Centre exhibits the works of contemporary artists creating new works in fine art, craft, new media, design, architecture and photography. The exhibition schedule changes six times a year in all of the venues except the site specific spaces.
