Who are we?
Harbourfront Centre, on Toronto's waterfront, is an innovative non-profit cultural organization which produces almost 4,000 events annually including the summer weekend World Routes festivals, HarbourKids family programming, international World Stage performances, International Festival of Authors (IFOA) and many more. These events create a multitude of volunteer opportunities.
Harbourfront Centre’s Volunteer Programme is built on the strengths of a dedicated group of individuals of varying ages and from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. We recognize volunteers as an essential resource in support of the culturally diverse programming and special events that are produced. Without the dedication of volunteers we would not be able to bring to the public accessible and innovative events that educate, enliven and entertain.
Motivated by their interest in the arts, our volunteers generously contribute time and energy to assist Harbourfront Centre in maintaining its programming mandate. In return, our volunteers enrich their lives by developing their interests, learning new skills and making new friendships.
