About Chef Jane Jhung:

Jane Jhung is currently in the culinary management programme at George Brown College and hopes to follow her mother, Milan, owner of Leenamjang Korean Restaurant, and broaden the appeal of Korean food. 

About Chef Shin Aoyama:

Shin Aoyama, executive chef of Yakitori Bar and Seoul Food Co., has worked in some of the best ramen shops throughout the Kyushu region of Japan. In Canada, he was head sushi chef at the world-renowned TOJO Restaurant. He was also the culinary mind behind Canada's most famous modern Japanese restaurant, KI Modern Japanese in Toronto.

About Chef Vanessa Yeung:

As a graduate of the Stratford Chefs School with the award for Culinary Excellence, Vanessa Yeung honed her skills with an apprenticeship at fine dining restaurant Scaramouche. After a brief stint in food manufacturing, Vanessa was the private chef to former NHL goaltender Ed Belfour. Vanessa then moved on to start her own catering company and cooking school called Aphrodite Cooks.

About Host Mary Luz Mejia:

Food enthusiast, writer, researcher, intrepid traveller and food TV producer/director begins to cover it. Mary Luz Mejia is a self-professed cookbook nerd who has penned hundreds of food articles, culinary profiles, food celebrity interviews and cultural explorations into the foods we eat and why we love them. She's the brunch columnist for the Toronto Star and you can read other work in enRoute, Toronto Life, Organic Gardening and Canadian Running Magazine to name a few. Her TV work is Gemini-nominated and she’s been called “one of Toronto’s most dedicated and passionate food journalists” by Saveur Magazine’s James Oseland.‎
