Plex is an award winning Hip Hop artist and producer based in Toronto, Canada. With over 15 years experience Plex has raised the bar amongst his Aboriginal peers while building a strong and relevant presence in mainstream Canadian Hip Hop. Since releasing his debut solo album in 2009, Plex has toured across the US and Canada performing on over 350 stages and has also appeared on several televised events including Arbor Live, The National Aboriginal Achievement Awards, APTN Aboriginal Day Live, Larger Than Life (Cineplex) and The Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.
Since September 2010 his music video for The Way It Should Be from his first album Brainstorm, has received critical acclaim from across the globe and has been screened at over 30 film festivals worldwide, receiving 7 awards. His sophomore release Demons displays deep, thought-provoking, socially relevant lyrics and immaculate production design. He is a master at his craft and a visionary committed to community, culture and music.
With strong ties to his roots, he uses his status to inspire others through community outreach projects. He is committed to mentoring struggling youth and helping them pursue their talents and dreams in spite of difficult circumstances. Plex represents not only Renewal in his community but, also his talents and music are at a Crossroads with genres as well as breaking out into mainstream playlists.
