About Karen Jewels:
Karen Jewels is a prolific artist with a musician's heart who, through the vein of melodious creativity, unveils to the world the reality of God. Her music projects a voice which speaks to the core of the heart. As a singer and songwriter she invites us into an exciting journey on which there exists a backdrop that ranges from head nodding hip hop and soul to alternative and rhythmic electronic music. Since the 2008 release of her EP, Creation Groans, Karen has continued to collaborate with prominent producers for the release of her first full length, The Victor Project. Karen is owner of Neutron Starr, a clothing and apparel company. She is also the founder of Upright Music Republic, a company of creative visionaries that executes creative ideas for the purpose of developing like minded artists and working with other organizations to promote change through the use of the arts.
About Jermaine Shakespeare:
Jermaine Shakespeare is a recognized worship leader, songwriter and minister of the gospel. He is honoured to have shared the stage with distinguished psalmists such as Fred Hammond, Israel & New Breed, Steve Green, Edwin Hawkins, Karen Clark-Sheard, Tye Tribett, Pastor Richard Brown, and Steven Hurd. He has also served as a youth minister and is often called upon to speak at retreats, conferences and worship services. He has worked diligently building others and assisting the vision of his mentors and teachers.
About The Mount Zion Fellowship Choir:
The Mount Zion Fellowship Choir is a 30-voice choir and four-member band whom strives to add an eclectic and unique spin to gospel music as so to reach beyond the confines of this particular musical genre. This versatility has aided in the longevity and success of this group. Coupled with that, Mount Zion Fellowship Choir's keen understanding of their central purpose to touch people by ministering and imparting the gospel. Their act of acknowledgment and obedience to this purpose over the years have aided in many people being uplifted, encouraged and strengthened.
For over 10 years the choir has been under the leadership of Jerome Cawley, who has been directing choirs for more than 13 years in various capacities within the church circles, not-for-profit agencies, community organizations and beyond. He currently, teaches gospel music in the Toronto District School Board.
