The Ton Beau String Quartet
The Ton Beau String Quartet was formed in 2010 by four friends studying at the University of Toronto. They have performed at the Toronto Music Garden, the Maureen Forrester Recital Hall at Wilfrid Laurier University, Dinkelspiel Auditorium at Stanford University, the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society, the Banff Centre and elsewhere. In addition, the Ton Beau Quartet are active teachers, and participate in numerous educational outreach presentations. The quartet has also collaborated with musicians from many other musical traditions, including performances with the folk band The Krüger Brothers, and a collaboration with Spectrum Music, a group of classical and jazz composers featuring performances with David Braid, Graham Campbell, Alex Goodman and Florian Höfner. The Ton Beau is currently Quartet in Residence at the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto.
