Frankie “Trixx” Agyemang
It's no secret that Frankie "Trixx" Agyemang is known more for comedy than controversy, always hitting the stage with big laughs, leaving the audience wanting more. A finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh-Off, this performer has proven time and again that he's not only funny, but also insightful and multi-talented.
As a regular on MuchMusic's Video on Trial and Stars Gone Wild, fans across the country have gotten to know and love Trixx and his hilarious trademark characters. Already a respected performer, he has opened for Aries Spears (MadTV) and Sugar Sammy (HBO Canada), and is a favourite at the Nubian Disciples of Comedy, hosted by Kenny Robinson.
He’s also been called to stages in New York, Boston and London, England, and was a performer at the 2008 Jamaican International Comedy Festival. Charismatic and savagely funny, Trixx's talent lies in knowing exactly when and where to push boundaries and establish new limits.
Jay Martin is a multi-faceted talent. Born of Jamaican decent and now based in Toronto, Martin was always the entertainer. His first big success came in 1992 when he and his brother's band, Devon & the Metro Squad, received a Juno award for best rap and R&B album. He has since gone on to work with the likes of Russell Peters, Jamie Foxx, Tracy Morgan and Brian McKnight. Martin is talented, ambitious, driven to make a difference, a role model for youth, a voice for the voiceless and a proud representation of Toronto.
Nick Reynoldson is a rising comic from Scarborough, Ont. On-stage he is fearless, captivating and exciting. He has been featured on MTV, JFL42 and MuchMusic. He is signed to Canada's only comedy record label, Comedy Records, and can be seen in clubs and theaters across the country.
Growing up, Marlon Palmer always had an interest in all things entertainment. Film and television legends like Will Smith and Jerry Seinfeld inspired Palmer to dream of a career in acting.
In September 2009, he entered the MuchMusic VJ Search and advanced to the finale. His effortless ability to be engaging and funny was evident and cultivated additional opportunities in and outside of Toronto, including hosting duties at countless gala's, talent shows and parties.
DJ Lissa Monet
Inventive and energetic, DJ Lissa Monet pleases crowds while controlling the vibe of the party mixing musical genres such as R&B, hip hop, soul, house/dance, rock, reggae and her favourite '80s classics.
