Junkestra - A Celebration of Sustainable Music and Architecture

February 19 – 20, 2012

Craft Learning Family Skating

Provided by Arts for Children and Youth, the Junkestra is a portable, wood-frame sound installation. This amazing sound sculpture is a visual delight and can be played to create a series of wondrous musical sounds. The various components of the sculpture are made with recycled materials. The Junkestra sings with both sonic and good vibrations.

Created by middle school students with guidance from AFCY artists/instructors Mark Sepic and Barb Lilker.
