Former curators at The Power Plant engage in a series of conversations with key artists who have exhibited at the gallery over the past twenty-five years. They will discuss aspects of Toronto’s art history, past, present and future, including transformations to artists’ practices and to institutional and curatorial models.
Philip Monk is currently Director at the Art Gallery of York University, and was Curator at The Power Plant from 1995–2004. FASTWÜRMS is the Creemore-based joint authorship of Kim Kozzi and Dai Skuse, formed in 1979. FASTWÜRMS has been included in The Power Plant exhibitions Adaptation: Between Species (curated by Helena Reckitt, 2010) and Rococo Tattoo (curated by Monk, 1997). Monk also curated the artists’ touring survey exhibition DONKY@ NINJA@WITCH (2007–08) for the Art Gallery of York University.
