About Les Amusements de la Chambre: 

Les Amusements de la Chambre is a Canadian chamber ensemble specializing in the performance of music for keyboard and strings. Founded by harpsichordist Katelyn Clark and violinist Emily Redhead during a Creative Music Residency at The Banff Centre, Les Amusements explores repertoire from the 17thcentury to music of today. The ensemble has distinguished itself through creative presentations of the 18th-century concert experience. Established as a duo, Les Amusements enjoys collaborating with a variety of musicians in concert and frequently performs new and recent works by Canadian composers.  Currently based in Montréal, Katelyn and Emily are natives of Victoria, BC.

The Montreal duo, Les Amusements de la Chambre, brings the 17thcentury to life with music from English masques and early Italian baroque masters. Interspersed with these are three exciting new compositions inspired by Baroque forms by Canadian composers Emily Doolittle, Eric KM Clark, and the world premiere of a piece by Toronto composer Linda Caitlin Smith.
