A Tribe Called Red creates a never-before heard sound made up of a wide variety of musical styles ranging from Hip-Hop, Dance Hall, Electronic, and their own mash-up of club and Pow Wow music, known as Pow Wow Step that is quickly gaining respect from all kinds of communities from all around the world. Electric Pow Wow is a monthly club night dedicated to showcasing Aboriginal DJ talent and Native urban culture and is aimed at creating a space for Aboriginal people.

Fresh off of their national tour and the release of their self-titled debut album, DJ Bear Witness, DJ NDN and DJ Shub bring their infectious mix of traditional drums, Jamaican dub and urban beats back to Toronto for the grand finale of TIFF's First Peoples Cinema and the beginning of this year's Planet IndigenUS festival at Harbourfront Centre.
