About Steve Gonzalez:

Chef Steve Gonzalez is a first-generation Canadian with Colombian parents. He prides himself on being innovative and putting modern spins on classic Latino food. Steve has been in the restaurant business for 20 years. He has cooked in Spain, Hong Kong and Miami. His last post was chef de cuisine at Claudio Aprile’s latest venture, Origin, a Toronto culinary hotspot. Previously, he was chef de cuisine at Colborne Lane and sous chef at Sassafraz, to name a few.

Known as Toronto’s bad boy chef with the skills and attitude to match that description, chef Gonzalez has decided to finally open his own restaurant downtown scheduled to open late summer. This venture will bring nuevo Latino food including his famous ceviches and hard liquor drinks to the masses of Toronto’s culinary and foodie scene.
