Michael Walling is the director of Origins: Festival of First Nations, a UK-based event which brings together Indigenous artists and thinkers from across the world in the former colonial centre of London. He is also Artistic Director of Border Crossings, a theatre company which creates new performances through the meeting of artists from different cultural backgrounds.

In this workshop, Michael applies some of the techniques he has evolved over the 17 years of the company's work to access narratives, ideas and characters unique to the participants' cultural background, and to develop the process of play-making.

Using simple creativity games, the workshop will explore indigenous lives and stories, and relate them to today's global concerns.
